AngusPLUMBING is run by two plumbers who trained together at Reading College Plumbing School — Paul, who graduated top of his year, and Angus, who finished in the top 10% of his. It's a genuinely local firm: the person you speak to on the phone is the one who turns up and does the work.
What sets the firm apart isn't a slogan — it's the paperwork behind the van. AngusPLUMBING is both WaterSafe approved and Thames Water approved and recommended, and is described as the only plumber in Caversham and Reading to carry both endorsements at once. On top of that sit CIPHE membership (the Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineers), Water Regs UK certification (formerly WRAS), and G3 qualification for unvented hot-water cylinders. In practice, that means every job on your water supply is done by people the water authority itself trusts.
Paul Brent is co-owner and lead engineer — a qualified unvented-cylinder engineer, a CIPHE member and WaterRegs UK certificated. Angus is joint owner, and specialises in cold and hot water, heating, drainage and sanitation. Between them there's very little in a home's plumbing or heating they haven't met before. The firm is also a member of the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce.
